Opening Keynote 2027 by Adam Taylor

We are very pleased that Adam Taylor has accepted to present the opening keynote at FPGA-forum 2027.
Adam is perhaps THE best known FPGA personality world-wide – for many good reasons.

Adam was actually presenting the opening keynote also at FPGA-forum 2015 with ”What will ET make of My FPGA choice’, and this time he is back with the following really interesting topic:

From HDL to Intent: The Third Age of the FPGA

AI is changing how we develop FPGAs, if we know what we are doing it makes us much more efficient, but it brings with it many challenges which need to be considered from how we work with it to how we develop the next generation. One thing is for sure not using AI in 2027 is like doing designing FPGAs with Schematic entry.

About Adam:

Adam Taylor is one of the world’s best-known FPGA engineers. Founder of Adiuvo Engineering & Training, he has spent over two decades designing FPGA and SoC systems for space, defence, nuclear and image-processing applications. He writes the long-running MicroZed Chronicles, read by millions of engineers worldwide, and founded FPGA Horizons, the UK- and US-based conference and journal for FPGA professionals. A Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the IET, Adam is a regular keynote speaker and a go-to voice on FPGA design and the emerging role of AI in hardware development.
